Brightest Bulb in the Crayon Box

My morning class is an English Composition class that I am so going to ace with glitter and gold stars. The most complicated thing we have to do is write essays as homework and write in a journal at least 3 times a week. (I thought about just writing down my blog address and telling the prof she could sign up for my updates, but then I couldn’t talk about her here so I changed my devious little mind.)
Yesterday, about half the class flocked around me at the end and asked me if I’d help them with their writing, to be like the study group leader or something.
Huh?
Apparently, nobody ever taught them the key to writing an essay — which I learned in high school and would’ve thought this prof would teach us eventually — and they knew I was getting As on everything. I’m now leading a little “stuff your prof is too lazy to teach you” session in the library this afternoon.
We’ll be on the opposite side from Jazz so I can maintain an appearance of being an intelligent human being instead of eye-bleeping the man every few seconds as usually happens.

Woooot!
LOL! Can I join your class? Maybe my blog would be more interesting then!
You are too cute, T. And I am not surprised you are the brightest.
Sounds just like you – those classmates are lucky to have you around. I hope the prof does have some wisdom to pass along later, so you get to stretch yourself a bit and learn something in this class as it moves on. (It’s early days yet.) Congrats on acing it so far
I bet Jazz gets a kick out of watching you be a mentor to someone else.
LOL! Mixing metaphors, are we?
Now the real world gets to know what we here already knew! Yay Thorny!
So – what IS the key to writing an essay? Please?
Hey, HJ! Go read tonight’s post http://thornynotprickly.wordpress.com/2012/01/26/something-bit-me-maybe/ It’s all in there!
Bravo Thorny! To be honest, that you’re doing so well and being willing to share your knowledge comes as no great surprise to me, as you’ve always come across as a bright, intelligent man with a loving generous heart… Now the academic community is learning what we’ve known all along. Guess it’s kind of cool to get the validation though, huh? Well done indeed! *hugs*
Go Thorny!!! It is wonderful that you can help your classmates with their work. It seems that the education system is more or less the same no matter which country you are from. LOL!
I bet Jazz is proud of you that you are becoming the leader of the group (for some reason this is reminding me of the Dumbledore’s Army scene in HP and OOTP)!
Yay Thorny! It is so nice that your class is going well and sweet you are helping everyone. As someone who edits for a living I am always amazed at how many people don’t have a good grasp of basic writing. I am sure you will ace this one as you are a fabulous writer already.
You are brave for holding your session in the library. No eye fucking Jazz while you are trying to work!
